Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Location: Fontana, CA
Compensation: $100,000 - $135,000
About the Role:
Seeking a seasoned Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and elevate the safety and environmental programs across all operations. This strategic role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while fostering a proactive safety culture. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in regulatory compliance, program development, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and manage all aspects of federal and state safety programs (e.g., Confined Space Entry, IIPP, PSM, Respiratory Protection, Lockout/Tagout, Emergency Action Plans, Contractor Safety).
+ Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and facility permitting (e.g., RMP, SWPPP, SPCC, CUPA, SCAQMD).
+ Develop and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, audits, and inspections.
+ Administer company-wide safety programs and strategic safety plans.
+ Drive sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction and environmental stewardship.
+ Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies (Cal/OSHA, CalEPA, SCAQMD, DTSC, CUPA, State Water Board).
+ Design and deliver training programs to support safety and prevention.
+ Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
+ Maintain accurate safety and environmental documentation and records.
+ Collaborate with insurance and workers' compensation representatives on loss prevention.
+ Coordinate with external consultants for EHS-related projects.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
+ 10+ years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing setting.
+ Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
+ Strong background in regulatory compliance and program management.
+ Experience with Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives.
+ ASP or CSP certification preferred. Not required

+ Proficient in interpreting technical documents and safety standards.
+ Skilled in report writing, procedure development, and training delivery.
+ Effective team leadership and change management.
+ Proficient in relevant software applications.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs.
+ Visual acuity including close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment:
+ Exposure to varying conditions in manufacturing settings (hot, cold, wet).
+ Office work with potential exposure to electrical equipment.
+ Noise levels may range from moderate to high.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
