Job Title: Welder – MIG/TIG (Sheet Metal Department)
Shift: 2nd Shift (Starts at 2:00 PM)
Pay: Based on Experience
Type: 90-Day Contract-to-Hire
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our Sheet Metal Department on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have experience working with precision sheet metal components, performing high-quality welds, and reading and interpreting blueprints to meet exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG and TIG welding on sheet metal components according to blueprints and job specifications.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and conformance to standards.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years of MIG and TIG welding experience, preferably in a sheet metal environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
Experience with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
