A well-established litigation firm in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Financial Controller to lead and enhance its accounting operations. In this key leadership role, you'll work closely with the Managing Attorney to oversee the firm's financial activities, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and guide accounting personnel. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and improve internal financial controls
• Supervise accounting staff and enforce accounting protocols
• Prepare timely, accurate financial reports for leadership
• Ensure regulatory compliance, especially with trust accounting rules
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
• Reconcile firm credit cards and maintain accurate coding
• Lead the year-end close process
• Contribute to additional firm initiatives as needed

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 3–5 years of financial management experience in a law firm
• Strong proficiency in accounting software
• A process-driven mindset with the ability to create or improve financial controls
• Experience managing trust accounts in compliance with State Bar requirements
• A high level of accountability, professionalism, and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 DOE
• Health, dental, and vision insurance (50% covered for employees & dependents after 30 days)
• Paid time off: 8 holidays, 6 sick days, vacation accrual based on tenure
• 401(k) eligibility after 1 year and 7 months
