About the Role
As Controller, you will lead the organization’s accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Acting as a strategic advisor, you will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with the corporate finance team.
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including cash management, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Approving and monitoring accounts payable/receivable ; reviewing timely monthly reports.
• Reviewing journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local accounting standards.
• Preparing and distributing required financial statements and reports.
• Coordinating payroll processing and ensuring labor/tax compliance.
• Maintaining updated tax records and overseeing compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to headquarters.
• Coordinating with external auditors, supporting annual reviews and audit processes.
• Maintaining accurate financial documentation and internal controls.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Performing additional finance and administrative duties as needed

Your Qualifications  
We are looking for a highly organized and collaborative professional with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.  
• Minimum five years of relevant, progressive senior-level experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards.
• Proven experience with payroll, AP/AR, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Strong analytical skills and expertise in budgeting and forecasting.
• Proven leadership experience capable of managing a diverse financial team and multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• High proficiency in accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• CPA, ACCA, or CIMA certification is preferred but not required.
• IFRS knowledge is desirable but not required.
• Bilingual - Fluent communication skills in both English and Spanish – essential for serving our diverse client base.

 
Work Environment & Additional Requirements

• Background and credit checks are required prior to employment.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities may shift.
• This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally.
