Resolution Think LLC joint venture, is seeking a Contract Pharmacist to work at the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Healthcare Facility (QNBMHCF). The Contract Pharmacist will support the mission of delivering high-quality healthcare to American Indian/Alaska Native patients. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities: - Dispensing Medications: Accurately read and verify medication orders, ensure completeness and appropriateness, and check for drug interactions and allergies.
- Patient Counseling: Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and proper administration.
- Prescription Processing: Enter and process prescriptions using ScriptPro and Pyxis software, generate labels, and ensure compliance with hospital formulary policies.
- Inventory & Compliance: Manage controlled substances, including documentation of Schedule II medications, ordering and receiving medications, and maintaining compliance with DEA regulations.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with medical professionals to resolve medication-related issues and ensure optimal patient care.
- Inpatient Responsibilities: Review medication orders, compound IV additives, assess renal function adjustments, and counsel patients on discharge medications.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in hospital-based quality improvement programs, ensuring compliance with JCAHO and Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) standards.
Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with clear communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, standards, and pharmacotherapy.
- Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) for documentation.
- Ability to work in a rural healthcare setting and adapt to patient needs.
Work Schedule: - Hours: Hours of operation are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Work shifts will be scheduled as needed based on staffing needs and shall not exceed 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for 10-hour shifts. Weekend coverage may be required.
- Leave Policy: Scheduled absences must be coordinated in advance; unscheduled absences require prior notification.
Additional Requirements: - Proof of vaccination for COVID-19, influenza, measles, and rubella (per federal regulations).
